OPEX RFID Scanning Speeds Warehouse Sorting

by Carolyn Mathas

OPEX Corp. is incorporating radio frequency identification (RFID) scanning to increase operational speed and efficiency. The company added RFID scanning capabilities to its Sure Sort high-throughput sorting system, explicitly designed to eliminate the extra handling necessary with bar codes, as they can become hidden during the sorting process. This causes operators to step in, slowing down the sorting.

In comparison, RFID’s radio waves do not require a visual connection. RFID scanning is popular for cell phone and pharmaceuticals processing.

OPEX is exhibiting at NRF 2023 at the Javits Center in New York City January 15th-17th. They will demonstrate the Sure Sort automated technology in OPEX’s booth #769.
