SME Celebrates 20 Exceptional Women in Robotics and Automation

by Carolyn Mathas

SME, committed to advancing manufacturing and developing a skilled workforce, recognized 20 successful female leaders. These women have been instrumental in furthering robotics and automation in smart manufacturing worldwide.

SME’s Smart Manufacturing magazine recognizes successful female leaders in robotics and automation.

The 20 women were chosen in consultation with leaders from across the robotics and automation industries. Nicole Williams, one of the women honored, has been an SME member since 2019. She has been involved in such organization and industry programs as the FIRST Robotics Competition, where she has volunteered for 10 years. Her involvement has helped her to encourage young women to develop STEM knowledge and practical skills.

The Feb. 2021 issue of Smart Manufacturing magazine provides an extensive look at the accomplishments of the women selected.
