U.S.P.S. To Temporarily Increase Prices

by admin

The United States Postal Service has filed notice with the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) of a temporary price change that will take effect on October 18, 2020.

The U.S.P.S. recently released its third-quarter fiscal results, showing a decrease in letter mail and a surge in packages and shipping. This temporary price increase will affect all commercial domestic packages and is in direct response to the heightened shipping demand as well as the expected holiday mailing surge. Commercial domestic packages include

  • Priority Mail Express
  • Priority Mail
  • First-Class Package Service
  • Parcel Select
  • Parcel Return Serice

The new prices will remain in effect until December 27, 2020, and will make prices for commercial services competitive while protecting retail customers.
