Rockwell Automation and autonox Robotics Partner on Manufacturing Possibilities

by Carolyn Mathas

Rockwell Automation and autonox Robotics announced a strategic partnership so that companies in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa can achieve new manufacturing possibilities through unified robot control solutions.

The collaboration will bring together the Kinetix® motors and drives from Rockwell and the robot mechanics of autonox in a customer-friendly catalog approach. The robots are programmed and controlled in a single environment using Logix-based controllers and Studio 5000 automation system design software. This avoids disparate machine control and robot systems, efficiently delivering a simplified system architecture, deploying systems faster, and creating more effective robotic automation systems. This unified robot control solution will use the autonox’s line of DELTA and DuoPod robot mechanics.

The autonox Robotics DELTA and DuoPod robot mechanics are made of carbon fiber composites, stainless steels, titanium, aluminum, and steel alloys, available in FDA-compliant materials, with special coatings, IP69K protection class, and high-temperature resistant designs.

The trends in automation include greater agility and more intuitive solutions to speed operations and achieve the full potential of a robotic implementation to optimize processes. Using a unified robot control capability with autonox robots enables companies to be better prepared to get the most out of their manufacturing assets now and be ready with the flexibility to meet future demands.
