Tork®, a global health and hygiene company, has released the Tork® Site Safety Guide for Manufacturing. This is in addition to their Back-to-Business toolkit, both of which are available on their website.

Tork compiles their experiences dealing with the pandemic along with learnings from collaborations with trade unions, industry bodies, and public health officials into the guide so that other manufacturers can use it as a signpost to resume operations in the post-COVID market. It is designed specifically to mitigate infection spread and keep their workers and customers safe.

They share best practice strategies for:

  • social distancing in a closed environment
  • navigating high-traffic areas
  • methods for appropriate hygiene and cleaning protocols
  • training employees on key COVID-19 information

“The safety precautions we have taken in our facilities were introduced to protect and maintain the well-being of our employees,” said Jenny Turner, Marketing Director for Essity, Tork’s global manufacturer. “Implementing these strict protocols in our facilities has enabled our global operations to continue delivering critical hygiene supplies and other products worldwide, including healthcare workers on the front lines, without disruption. We believe other manufacturers – our peers and customers across the sector – can find value from our experience, and we would like to share our learnings to help uphold safe work environments on the road to recovery.”
